Fabric glued in strips

Glued fabric is stronger than a stitched one. Glued fabrics have no wear of the yarn.

The awning fabric is glued together in 1200 mm strips with a side hem of 40 mm on both sides. The top and bottom hem of 30 mm are stitched.

The bottom hems have double seams, the Hylas trademark. This is easy to recognize as well as good for longevity.

Advantages of glue:

  • no colour difference as no yarn is used;
  • no leaks at the seams;
  • no wear and tear of yarn;
  • less waffle formation;
  • better connections;
  • smoother fabric.

For glued fabric reinforcement angles and wide side seams are not possible. You should also bear in mind that the side hems will hang down sooner.
