Screen fabric is used for flat solar shading systems. It was initially developed for office buildings, hospitals and schools, but is now also widely used for houses.

A closed screen fabric covers the entire glass surface. This keeps out annoying light and stops the space behind it from heating up. Screen fabric not only keeps out the sun, but also the wind and insects.

Hylas manufactures two different grades of screen fabric: Sergé and Tibelly ecole1% for both standard screens and zip screens. Hylas uses various different techniques. Each fabric for every type of system requires its own manufacturing method.
